Flu Season 2019

Once again it is the time of year when we write to advise you about the flu clinics that will be held at the surgery.

As last year there will be 2 different types of vaccine

  • one for the over 65’s which has been specially developed to give increased protection for our more senior patients as people 65 and older can often have weakened immune systems and often bear the greatest burden of influenza
  • and a routine vaccination for the under 65’s in clinical risk groups.

A drop in clinic will be held on Saturday 21st September.  This is for both age groups and will take place as follows:-

  • 08.30 to 10.00 for patients with surname beginning A to L
  • 10.00 to 11.30 for patients with surname beginning M to Z

We would ask that you collect a flu consent form from the surgery and have it filled in ready to bring with you when getting your flu vaccination.  This will help us considerably as when arriving at the surgery we will be splitting you into two separate groups.

Please do not bring young children to the above clinic but make them an appointment for one of the children’s flu vaccination clinics.

Further clinics will be held during weekdays and these will be arranged after the date above.

Please show your support for us by having your vaccination at the surgery
