From time to time you will be asked to see the GP or Nurse Practitioner for a review of your medication. Requests by telephone will only be taken between 2pm & 4pm.

Patients calling Woodley should choose the repeat prescription option.

Requests for repeat prescriptions can also be faxed to the surgery. Please remember to include your name and date of birth on faxed requests.

All repeat prescriptions require notice of 2 working days.

Please make sure you have enough medication to cover holiday times.

We may not be able to issue a repeat prescription without adequate notice.

Prescriptions Charges and Exemptions

Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs).

The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines.  Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
